    Description

An exceedingly rare and very unusual looking robot manufactured circa 1980 in Soviet Russia. It's named the 'Robin Radio Robot' and is in fact a radio in robot form. This example is exceptionally clean, all original, but untested (it appears to be designed for 4 small batteries similar to the AA size but shorter in length). The AA battery is shown is for scale only; it was not designed to operate with AA batteries. The robot came in two color variations, a rare light pink, and a more common dark pink. This is the rarer light pink version. The mottled color is typical of these toys. The robot is made of hard plastic. The detailed red dials on the chest serve as the on/off switch and tuning dial; the clear red 'diodes' are presumed to be illuminated when the radio is on. The toy is a little under 7 & 1/2 inches in height and 4 inches in width at the shoulders. The original battery cover is present, something that is typically missing or broken on these robots. This rare toy will make for a great addition to any robot or space toy collection.
