    Description

This is a beautiful hand made Navajo wall mount bowl, circa 1909.
It has two small holes for mounting, and a "V" shaped cut into the opening. There is a small chip missing (1.9cm) in the upper right side, no other chips or cracks. Very good condition considering its age. Hand painted in traditional Navajo style.
My understanding is that these were used for dry arrangements of small flowers or for Sage burning as a spiritual undertaking.
Marked on the bottom, "1909", and I believe, "Arizona" although it could be someone's name (Arzonia?). Written in pencil. See pictures, as they are just as much part of the description.
Measures 3-3/4" in diameter and approx 1-1/4" thick, an amazing piece of Native American history.
    Securely packed and insured.
