Depending on the Material you want to put the patch on, there are 3 options:
1) Iron-on (Cotton Shirt) - usually stays on for about 25 washes
2) Sew the Edges for Permanent Secure Adornment
3) Glue - Use Fabric Glue or all Purpose Contact Cement - Nylon, Polyester and Cordura will likely melt in High Temperatures or a Patch won't adhere
You can also use a combination of these for maximum security.
